What are Multi-Agency Practice Audits?
Part of the Partnership’s role is to understand the system of help children, young people and families receive across the city. One way we do this is by undertaking regular practice audits of children’s experiences of support.
We approach all our auditing work with a learning mindset and want to create a culture where we can learn together about what is working really well for children in Plymouth and what steps need to be taken to improve this further.
Each audit has a theme linked to the Partnership’s priority areas and Key Lines of Enquiry are identified beforehand by the Multi-Agency Performance and Quality Assurance Subgroup (MAPQA).
Practice Audit Learning Event
Once the audits have been completed within agencies, all Partners involved are invited to come together to share their learning in an in-person, reflective discussion. The learning events are for professionals only, and families are spoken to separately to gather their views.
If you have any questions regarding the PSCP Multi Agency Practice Audits, or a Learning Event, please email the PSCP Business Unit on PSCP@plymouth.gov.uk
Partnership Learning Reports
Following each PSCP practice audit and learning event, a Partnership Learning report is written. This details the strengths identified in this theme, areas to improve and the next steps the Partnership will take to get there. These next steps are then turned into SMART actions by members of the MAPQA subgroup and passed onto the relevant working group for actioning.
The working groups regularly report back into the MAPQA subgroup to provide assurance and updates on the progress of the actions from these learning reports.
