Course Description and Outcomes

This course supports Plymouth’s commitment to being a trauma informed and responsive city. Participants will be able to understand and identify trauma, how re-traumatising takes place and how trauma effects people in different ways. It will consider how practice and procedures can be applied to reduce distress for service users and explore concepts of self-care for practitioners.

The course is aimed at staff who provide support services to children, young people, families and adults.
