Having Curious and Courageous Conversations : Face to Face Course Half Day 09:30 – 12:30 (Arrival and Registration between 09:00 – 09:25 for a 09:30 start)
Course Description and Outcomes
Supporting children, young people and families is a hugely rewarding role but sometimes the sorts of conversations we need to have in safeguarding can be really difficult for a range of reasons. We might feel nervous about sharing our worries with a young person or their family or about gaining consent to share information. This workshop explores how we can be professionally curious and have courageous conversations with families and colleagues in relation to safeguarding. The course will explore:
- What makes a conversation difficult.
- How to have curious conversations.
- How to have courageous conversations.
