Designated Safeguarding Lead: Day in the Life

Thursday 18th September 2025 1.30pm – 4.30pm 

Course Description 

This 3 hour workshop explores the role and responsibilities of being a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) in an education setting. It takes participants through what daily life is like for a DSL and the on-going committments the role is required to undertake. 

The session is delivered by experienced Plymouth DSLs and so course content and discussions will be facilitated by those able to draw upon their professional background to support the learning of others.

This course is free for all to attend. 

Who’s the Course For?

This course is for those new to the DSL role or those interested in becoming a DSL.

We aim to confirm your place via email within 5 business days of the application form being received by the PSCP, there can be a minor delay if we have a large number of applications come in at once. Please feel free to email if you are unsure on whether you have a place or not.
