PSCP Business Unit Roles & Responsibilities

The Partnership is supported by a small team known as the Business Unit. They oversee the day-to-day running and support of the Partnership and multi-agency training.

Partnership Manager

The Partnership Manager is responsible for overseeing and supporting all the strategic subgroups and working groups. They work closely with the Delegated Safeguarding Partners and other colleagues from all of the Partners to ensure work is focused on impact and outcomes for children and young people. They also manage the Business Unit team and liaise with other Partnerships in the Pensinsular.

Safeguarding Support Assistant

The Safeguarding Support Assistant works closely with the Partnership Manager to oversee the smooth operation of Partnership work. They are responsible for the administration and organisation for the strategic subgroups and are currently supporting the working groups while they are being established.

Lead for Learning & Development

The Lead for Learning and Development manages the multi-agency safeguarding training programmes that the Partnership offers, ensuring they are up-to-date and tailored to the needs of Plymouth’s workforce. They also deliver some of the training courses alongside Partners and/or independent trainers and source and share resources for practitioners across the city. They also sit on some of our strategic subgroups and working groups, and chair the Strategic Workforce Development subgroup.

Learning & Development Coordinator

The Learning and Development coordinator supports the day-to-day training operations for the multi-agency safeguarding training courses. They are also responsible for the Partnership website, ensuring it is accessible and useful to a range of people.
