Plymouth recognises that sexual abuse cannot be prevented if we fail to
spot opportunities to signpost adults who might harm to get help. It is
important to remain curious about where this behaviour comes from
and ensure support is offered.
Preventing offending/ re offending is a priority for Safer Plymouth. In January 2023 Safer Executive agreed to be responsible for the strategic leadership of work to preventing harm from happening.
It is important to routinely publicise and share information in the workplace to enable people worried about their own thoughts or someone else, without judgement to access support in order to prevent harm to children.
