Child Sexual Abuse Practitioners Guidance & Toolkit Now Available

Earlier in the year we launched our Neglect Practitioners Guidance & Toolkit. Joining that is now our Child Sexual Abuse Practitioners Guidance & Toolkit. We know our children who suffer sexual abuse need us to notice them, understand how they show and tell us what’s happening to them and provide the help they need. We also know child sexual abuse can be prevented so our guidance & toolkit also takes a preventative approach. Another truly multi-agency piece of work so thank you to everyone who contributed to the writing of this resource. It can be used to support your own direct work with children & families, as a helpful guide in providing safeguarding supervision/support, as a training resource etc. You can find all the materials HERE.

Preventing Sexual Harm Conference POST EVENT PACK

The Together for Childhood Plymouth Partnership, with support of Safer Plymouth (Community Safety Partnership) delivered a week long conference on how the City can seek to prevent sexual harm. The event was well attended and supported and has created a lot of conversation, activity and drivers for change. To support this ongoing work, this page contains Event Packs and Session Slide Packs to support shared continued learning. The NWG and Marie Collins Foundation have published short guides for professionals and parents on the issues of online harm and young people.

Professionals

This guide has been developed to address the challenges that professionals face when working with issues of online harm and young people. It contains information about what online harm is, the specific issues facing children and young people, and ways professionals can effectively engage with young people and their families.

Parents

In this booklet parents can find information about what online harm is and ways they can effectively help and support their children. A useful product for professionals to use to support concerned parents.
